Led By A Mile
The amount of electricity that has to be generated to power a LED bulb compared to that of an ordinary light bulb or a halogen downlight is very small.
This is obviously of benefit to you financially because of the energy savings, however it is great for the environment as your carbon footprint is reduced accordingly.
Interestingly, when we consider the two most popular and successful electrical energy micro-generation methods, solar and wind, they can be combined extremely efficiently with LED lighting and can provide free light from 100% sustainable and natural resources.
Whilst it is appreciated that it is not practical for everyone to generate their own electricity at the present time, it is obvious that LEDs are the way forward for us all given the cost, the amazing longevity and the fact that they do not produce environmental contamination unlike C.F.L.s, Tungsten/Halogen and Phosphorous based lamps.
It’s a LED World!
